Community Outreach

Principal Builders is grateful for all of the wonderful projects, superb clients, and amazing opportunities that have been given to us over the years. It is one of our core beliefs that it is imperative to give back to our community as much as possible. We are perpetually grateful for Allstate Glass, Ashcorp, MacDonald Cabinets, Ryan & Sons Roofing, MacLaughlin Insurance, and several other subcontractors, vendors, and clients that rally together to pay it forward throughout our community.

Below you will find some snapshots of our favorite moments and projects, as well as information on each organization we have supported through financial means or with our time. Pan Mass Challenge

Principal Builders has been an avid supporter of the PMC since our inception, and this cause/event is near and dear to us as both partners’ fathers were treated at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Partner Joe Pirelli has been riding in the PMC for nine years along with his brother-in-law, Patrick McKenna, who joined our team in 2014. Our generous subcontractors, vendors, colleagues, family, and friends have helped us raise over $56,000 in an effort to eradicate cancer.

MS Society

Principal Builders partner, Joe Pirelli, has been riding the with Pep’s Peddlers team for two years to support the fight against MS. Joe was invited to ride with the team by one of the team’s members and our painting contractor, Mike Krol.

Cycle For Life

Cycle for Life is a 25, 50, or 80 mile ride throughout Middlesex County that raises funds for cancer patients at Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children. Joe and Patrick have been riding for two years and have not only raised money but reached out to friends, family and colleagues and put together care packets for our Pedal Pals and their families. This year our “Pedal Pals” were Scarlett, 7, and Sophie, 6 months.

Holliston Youth Baseball and Softball Association

Principal Builders stepped up to the plate and sponsored Joe’s son’s little league team made up of first and second graders 2012 and 2014, as well as sponsoring the entire seven and eight-year-old league.

Bridge Boston | Charter School

Bridge Boston Charter School is a tuition-free public school with 192 students currently enrolled in pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade and Third Grade. Bridge Boston is a deliberate, thoughtful, nurturing community in which each child and adult is known, encouraged, and supported. Principal Builders has made both financial and work contributions to this wonderful school in 2012 and 2013.

Rodman Ride for Kids

The Rodman Ride for Kids raises funds for youth-focused social service agencies that support at-risk children in Massachusetts. Principal Builders has been involved with this ride in an effort to support helping Massachusetts’ youth for three years.

JPNDC

The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation promotes equitable development and equal opportunity in Jamaica Plain and adjacent neighborhoods through affordable housing, organizing, and economic opportunity initiatives. Principal Builders has been involved with JPNDC since 2011 through sponsorship of the annual October Fiesta fundraising event.

Match Charter School

Match is a free, high-performing charter school in Boston for children in grades Pre-K - 12 with four different campuses in the city. Principal Builders partnered with Match to complete several repairs and installations throughout the school, as well as making financial donations to support the school since 2013.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

Since 1979, the Boston Ronald McDonald House has served as a “home-away-from-home” for children with cancer and their families. As an essential part of their overall care, the House provides its guests with low-cost and convenient accommodations in a safe and comfortable home-like setting. Principal Builders has been a financial supporter since 2013.

John Thomas Fund

The John Thomas and Special Friends Fund is dedicated to assisting, encouraging and promoting the health, well being, happiness, education, rehabilitation and development of John Thomas and other children with special needs.

The fund provides long term care, medical equipment, communication devices, additional therapies, and other necessities. It also supports, financially and otherwise, educational and medical facilities, such as Children’s Hospital Boston and Perkins School for the Blind, that give care and support to John Thomas and other children with special needs. Principal Builders has offered financial support since 2013 to this great cause.
